Stories of Food and Farm Ministries

Stories of Food and Farm Ministries

what time is it in the world right now?

This is a question I began to ask myself in 2013. That year, I had suffered a devastating blow. My non-profit worked for two years to buy a valuable piece of urban farmland in Marin County. Unfortunately, a real estate developer betrayed us and purchased the property before we could. After that loss I was mercifully commissioned by the National Episcopal Church to research and write a publication entitled, Stories of Food and Farm Ministries.

My research brought new appreciation for the land and a shift in how I see Land. I came to understand that the land is a minister; it helps people dream, and brings about healing, food, and connection.

In this Study I outline the four key factors for thriving food and farm ministries, illustrated with examples.
